Last year around the wii launch I decided to pick up MADDEN 07' for the wii mainly because I hadn't owned one since Madden 2000, for the N64.
07 Was fantastic for the wii to sum it up in short it was a 9/10 game, lots of game modes and everthing, no bugs, the only thing missing was online
So natuarally I eagerly awaited Madden 08' For the Wii.

Now im gonna shake things up for this review, I will be Reviewing two games at once ala Reviews on the Run, both of similar genre, but thats not all!
It will be Madden 08' for Wii VS Madden 08' for the Nintendo DS

Gameplay wise:
Wii
Madden 08 is lacking alot of features, it does include merely only 1 mode the DS version doesnt and thats the superstar mode. They both have franchise, tournaments, season and the likes but the Wii Version lacks Create modes, Player, Team and even play cannot be found on the wii, the wii version also has numerous glitches 1/2 the time you will get false start, and it even has Blurry version which many will complain about and fanboys will be the only ones left happy.
DS
The DS version has, create a team, player and EVEN Create a play, wow amazing what a handheld can do, the DS verison sadly offers much more than the Wii version cudve hoped too with paper modes, mini camp mode and it can even be played with up to 8 players in Mini camp bonuses. AMAZING.

Controls:

The wii features 2 different control methods, but they wont do you much good when after u spike the ball you throw it half the time, the controls will frustrate you even if you played 07' to death!
Dont even think of playing with just the wiimote that is an even worse nightmare, throwing, and kicking are fun but for some reason it seems like they made it less sensitive because it doesnt even read half the time either, the controls are good but a buggy
DS
A Map is displayed on the top screen and do you know what that means? YESH useless touch CONTROLS! :D YAY
But seriously, the touch controls are optional and i would never use them i tried and ended up with an interception nearly 90% of the time, but TC are great on defense you can even select whoever you want on the field, and with the combo of the Buttons you will be forcing punts and turnovers as fast and as often as Drew Bredsoe.
To bad this didnt use the mic for auidables that is long overdue, and really the only thing missing I think

Plain ol' sucks, hardly any increase from last year, heck I can barely even tell the difference in the pics below which one is Wii and which is Cube?

Pretty good for a DS game has been what I usally say when Developers actually try at 3D but im serious this is some of the best work ive seen the backgrounds look almost as good as wii even.

This is where the Wii Shines, great soundtrack, great annoucers better than Ps3 and xbox360 even with the inclusion of hudle sounds on the wiimote fantastic

Terrible. Good luck hearing anything menu sounds, when pressing anything forget about it, what you do get is Annoucers though, but they arent good for anything when they speak only randomly once a quarter, you also get the same 3 boring generic rock songs you probably never heard of anyways too. The worst part even on Full blast you still wont be able to hear anything because the sounds on this game is SILENT. Like a whisper.

Yesh, wii has online but with BUGS, hard to connect, terrible lagg like imagine playing Smash Bros, on training mode at 1/4 the speed and times that by 10 you get the wii version, it does include leader boards, and stats as well as an updatable roster which will last till 2009, but in reality EA will fix all the problems and you will desire 09'.

Fantastic online but mainly for friends, as there is no leader boards or even a stat of your loses, thats useless but hey its great to play against friends, cuz you know they wont DC anyways and when/if they do you can call their mommies for them :D
You can even play on the same team and beat the COMPS W00T

Overall Madden for wii is a average game not worth its price tag, but Madden 08 DS is literally half the price and if you had to go with one I would choose the DS version, but just make sure, you have you mp3 at the ready cause madden 08 knows you dont like their music anyways, so they decided to not include sound this year

Today i have a very special game review for you, mainly because it was written by me, Aschen, site-owner. Some might say it's a little too pro-videogames, or pro-anti-anti-videogames... if that makes sense. It was mailed to me by the man himself, accompanied by a letter that i had to have my 7 year old sister translate for me; it was something about alcohol, i think.

Lets get one thing straight, this game sucks. Bad. Let me explain why; it's bland, overused and a joke to the video game industry and fans. Copying the Phoenix Wright way to play, yet somehow making it feel like a kick to the shin rather then enjoyable gameplay, this scores a F for wtF.

There are several parts of this game that are meant to come together as a full game. In some ways this works, in most it fails miserably. Basically each case, or as the game calls it "Shooting" Jack Thompson will rise and the level will start. The first part is one i hated least, 'clue-hunting', a clear rip from Phoenix Wright but with it's own twist. See the object of this is to search criminal's apartments to try and link their violent behavior with anything marked with a 'Evil' tag hanging over it. Here's a spoiler, it's ALWAYS video game related. If the 'Evil' tag hovering over clues didn't make it easy enough, you can skip this entire section by simply selecting the 'Lie' option.

Now we move onto the courtroom, the object of this is basically survival. You have a 'laugh meter' which fills the more the judge is laughing at you. You should be putting forward evidence which you were meant to be studying in the previous section, but all this becomes pointless as that same 'Lie' option is available for use. Downrule, you will NOT win this, EVER. It's one of those gamemaker's tricks where its impossible and you have to lose to continue on. A poor decision by the developers as it discourages gamers early on.

There was another part, but because of my projectile diarrhea caused by playing this game I never got to get this far (oh, darn...). I am told however that it's a bonus round, in which you try and sue as many corporations as you can with no law involved. Such as suing gaming sites for things they haven't said.

Graphics: 30%
Bland, blokey, and fugly. Do not buy it for looks.

Sound: 60%
Half-decent, would have scored higher if the voice acting was consistent, sounds like 4 separate actors voiced Jack before each being sued for imitating him.

Gameplay: 10%
Severely lost marks for the 'Lie' option. Like a GameShark cheat built right into gameplay.

Overall (not a average): 10%
Let's put it this way; I include a extra 10% to the overall score when i feel sorry for the people who end up buying it.

Disclaimer: Incase you cant tell, this is a joke, the game does not exist. I do however allow for death-threats in the comments against Jack. Come on Mr Thompson, Sue me, I dare you :P
